Windows 10, KB4503293, KB4503327 et KB4503286 débarquent

Microsoft vient de débuter le déploiement de nouvelles mises à jour cumulatives pour les PC sous Windows 10. Elles débarquent à l’occasion du Patch Tuesday du mois de juin 2019.

La grande maintenance mensuelle de Microsoft débute avec l’arrivée de plusieurs nouvelles mises à jour cumulatives. Certaines visent le système d’exploitation Windows 10.  Bien que l’histoire montre que leur installation n’est pas sans risque, nous avons d’importants correctifs de sécurité. En clair leur contenu apporte le nécessaire pour colmater des brèches et résoudre des vulnérabilités du système d’exploitation.

Pour le moment nous n’avons pas connaissance de problème d’installation. Si c’est bon signe il ne faut pas encore se réjouir. Le déploiement ne fait que commencer.

Il est important de savoir que toutes les versions de Windows 10 profitent de cette maintenance. Par contre les éditions Home et Pro ne sont normalement concernées que pour April 2018 Update et plus récent.  Dans le cas contraire, la prise en charge se fait dans le cadre du « Long-Term Servicing Channel » alias le LTSC ou pour Windows 10 Enterprise et Education. Sans cela aucune mise à jour ne sera proposée par Windows Update.

Ce patch Tuesday est aussi particulier car Windows 10 May 2019 Update obtient sa première mise à jour cumulative.

  • October 2018 Update (Windows 10 v1809) > KB4503327 (OS Build 17763.557)
  • April 2018 Update (Windows 10 v1803) > KB4503286 (OS Build 17134.829)
  • Fall Creators Update (Windows 10 v1709) > KB4503284 (OS Build 16299.1217)

A noter que concernant Fall Creator Update, Microsoft précise

« Windows 10, version 1709, arrivera en fin de service le 9 avril 2019 pour les appareils exécutant les éditions Windows 10 Home, Pro, Pro pour Workstation et IoT Core. Ces appareils ne recevront plus de mises à jour mensuelles de sécurité et de qualité offrant une protection contre les dernières menaces de sécurité. Pour continuer à recevoir les mises à jour de sécurité et de qualité, Microsoft recommande de mettre à jour vers la dernière version de Windows 10. »

Ces mises à jour sont disponibles au travers de Windows Update et sur Update Catalog. Il est recommandé de faire une sauvegarde avant de les installer.

Addresses an issue that may prevent the Windows Mixed Reality keyboard from rendering correctly in some applications.

This may cause the connection to the WDS server to terminate prematurely while downloading the image. This issue does not affect clients or devices that are not using Variable Window Extension.

Adds updated Broadcom Wi-Fi firmware to Microsoft HoloLens. For more information, see Advisory 190016.

Addresses an issue that may prevent Internet Explorer 11 from opening if the Default Search Provider is not set or is malformed.

  1. oui. bon. moi la maj KB4503293 ne passe pas sur mon portable HP. apres le telechargement ca passe en preparation et apres ce tres long moment, ca repasse en telechargement… etc etc..

    1. Sur mon PC, la mise à jour kb4503293 me supprime des fonctionnalités. Je ne peux accéder à mes réseaux, au son ou à la batterie en cliquant sur ces icônes dans la barre des tâches. Il ne se passe rien. Idem pour le clic droit sur les icônes panneau de configuration et explorateur windows.
