Windows 10 v1803 et KB4499167, quoi de neuf ?

Microsoft profite de sa grande maintenance mensuelle pour déployer KB4499167 sur les PC sous Windows 10 v1803. Cette mise à jour cumulative vise la sécurité mais pas seulement. Nous avons aussi quelques corrections de bug.

L’installation de KB4499167 permet au système d’exploitation d’évoluer en version 17134.765. Ce chiffre est important car il permet de vérifier que l’installation s’est correctement déroulée. Pour le dénicher il suffit de lancer « winver.exe » dans Exécuter (WIN+R).

KB4499167 propose des mises jour de sécurité pour les navigateurs Internet Explorer et Microsoft Edge. A cela s’ajoute le colmatage de failles dans certains modules de Windows 10 et son noyau. Microsoft fait mention de Microsoft Scripting Engine, Windows App Platform and Frameworks, Microsoft Graphics Component, Windows Storage and Filesystems, Windows Cryptography, Windows Datacenter Networking, Windows Wireless Networking, Windows Virtualization, Windows Server et the Microsoft JET Database Engine.

Le géant corrige également l’ « erreur 1309 » pouvant apparaitre lors de l’installation ou la désinstallation de certains types de fichiers .msi et .smp sur un lecteur virtuel.

Vous trouverez tous les détails en fin d’article. KB4499167 est disponible au travers du service Windows Update. Si Microsoft recommande une installation dès que possible, il est aussi possible d’attendre un peu histoire de s’assurer que toute fonctionne comme prévu.

  • Addresses an issue that prevents the Microsoft Visual Studio Simulator from starting.
  • Addresses an issue that may cause zone transfers between primary and secondary DNS servers over the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) to fail.
  • Addresses an issue that may cause the text, layout, or cell size to become narrower or wider than expected in Microsoft Excel when using the MS UI Gothic or MS PGothic fonts.
  • Security updates to Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Scripting Engine, Windows App Platform and Frameworks, Microsoft Graphics Component, Windows Storage and Filesystems, Windows Cryptography, Windows Datacenter Networking, Windows Wireless Networking, Windows Virtualization, Windows Kernel, Windows Server, and the Microsoft JET Database Engine.
